20 Week Update

It's been a big day! Andrew and I went to the 20 week ultrasound this morning. They got all the measurements they needed and confirmed my OB's suspicion, its a BOY!

The ultrasound was emotional for me, I totally cried when the tech said your having a boy. Blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but it's overwhelming to see the baby and find out the sex. These were definitely tears of joy, I couldn't be any happier or feel this lucky.
Here are a couple pictures from the ultrasound sorry for the bad quality!:

Baby curled up sucking thumb, sorta facing down. The big round thing, the head. The white lines are the bones.

Yes that is a penis, its a boy.

20 week belly shot! Half way

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now, he has grown the length of a banana. (Length: about 6 1/2 inches from head to bottom, and 10 inches from head to heel.)

The weekend went by so fast. We got organizing done in the babies room/guest bedroom. Lot's of stuff for donation ready to go. I have been sleeping 110% better these days. I broke down and bought the snoogle. http://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Snoogle-Total-Body-Pillow/dp/B0000635WI

The snoogle is sweet heaven.

I made Sunday dinner last night, green beans, gravy and turkey breast. I had to make Andrew another mac and cheese because the one I made him got moldy. I have been craving all things gravy, roast/gravy turkey/gravy. Yummy gravy!!

Mac and Cheese Recipe:
- Boil noodles, they can be any kind you want, I like a big opening on the noodle so the cheese gets inside. Set the noodles aside
- Grate cheese, i like to use medium Cheddar and sharp.
- Make sauce, its a regular roux. Equal parts butter/milk to flour. If you use a wire whisk, it won't be so lumpy. I like to mix the mix/flour in a bowl first with the whisk. Add the mixture from the bowl into a small sauce pan, melt the butter and keep whisking. Add more flour till desired thickness.
Assemble mac/cheese
Place the noodles in a baking dish, toss in some of the cheese and mix it a bit so the cheese is in the middle of the mac/cheese. Poor the sauce over noodles. Put the rest of the cheese on the top of the noodles.
Bake mac/cheese on 400 degrees till top is golden brown and sides are bubbling.
