We can find something to do at Coyote Point every day. The museum and magic mountain playground are fabulous. I took the boys to the playground and then down to the water to play before we headed home for lunch. They both got right in and had a blast playing.
I headed home with two soaking wet kids, straight to the bath tub for a bath tub picnic!
They love to picnic in the tub!
Dylan enjoying the music
Mateo and Dylan playing
Toy Story sippy cup of wine, I didn’t bring enough red cups to share, improvise.
My little beach bums! We had a very very spontaneous day in Capitola on Saturday. at 9:30am chatting with a friend who was headed to the beach, I invited myself along and we were on the road at 10:30. We were having so much fun I forgot to take any pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day. We dug for sand crabs, and played in the waves. We can’t wait to go back!!
I take the boys to the indoor pool at the gym once a week. But we checked out Rinconada. They loved it, its our new summer spot for sure.
We celebrated a great 4th of July this year. The morning of the 4th, I ran in a 4th of July fun run, 3.6 miles in 29:54! Yeah me :-) The boys were there to cheer me on.
After the race, we stayed for the parade and festival enjoying time as a family, its pretty rare these days with Andrews work schedule.
The boys were so squirmy, I couldn't get any pics of all of us.
We BBQ a nice big piece of Tri Tip, had a few friends over and enjoyed this apple pie I made. Awesome 4th!
A few of my friends and I were talking about blogs we read and how we get jealous of other peoples lives. My smart friend Katie said, you are just getting their highlight reel! So true. My blog is about 99.9% of happy boys playing and behaving oh so perfectly. If you have met myself and my kids, you know that is not really the case ;-) Here are a few pictures off our highlight reel!
The boys reallllly wanted to play with sticks, so hey survival of the fittest right? I practice free parenting (um lazy parenting) They look happy in this picture because for a moment they weren’t trying to kill each other.
Bath tub fun! Not pictured, Logan getting jealous and asking for a mowhak because his brother had one…..
Berry picking, Logan loved it, Dylan was over it after 10min. I bribed Dylan to stay in the wagon and chill out with a 2 week old snack I found on the bottom of my back pack.
Adorable book time with daddy
Dress up fun!
There you have it, our honest highlights!
