Grown up projects: String Art and Picture Wall

When I was growing up, art seemed like a big part of our lives. My parents are both creative and exposed us to a lot of art. Somewhere a long the way I stopped creating things, and feeling like I could be creative. Maybe it was my fear of other peoples opinions about what I created, I'm not sure. Recently I have been trying to tap into that person I used to be, and I have been having so much fun making things! 

I did a awesome string art project we put above the couch:

Inspired by a pinterest find, a wall of our photos, I love seeing the kiddos and us up on the wall. The kids love to see themselves in more candid shots:

Creating things makes me happy. Looking forward to my next project! 

Kid projects

The boys love projects. Logan is usually asking me to put something out for him to work on. Right now he is really into cooking. He loves to help us in the kitchen, and  make these gross combinations of food. Its a huge mess but he loves it and I can't say no. 

We do a lot of painting. Logan pays close attention to what he is creating and has an idea of what he wants things to look like. Dylan paints himself and makes a huge mess, thats his experience I guess! 

Some days are a multiple shower too dirty for a bath day!
