Sorta an update on the possible sex?
We had our regular check up today, and I had asked if we could also squeeze in an ultra sound to see either the female/male anatomy. Dr. Joyce humored me but said the baby may not cooperate. And it totally didn't!!
Andrew and I wanted to see the some goods, any goods really. But the baby was moving all over the place, (very active baby) and it also had its butt to us. She said she might see some boy parts, but she really wasn't sure. It could just be the umbilical cord. I asked her " can I buy some blue cloths" She said "I would leave the tags on".... I said "Can you give us a percent " she said maybe about 75%? Hum that's not much better then 50-50.
We have another ultra sound scheduled on 9/29 at a different place then my doctors office. This u/s is a level 2, so its much clearer, and the baby will be bigger. We also get the measurements of the heart, brain, spine, and placenta. Anyhow, until then, I'm on team green!

Purchased Baby Items
I have purchased a few baby items, and covet many many others.
I bought this off the coolest site called etsy.com
I bought this off the coolest site called etsy.com
Basically anybody who wants to create things and sell them. Its fun to support the small business.
I got this off CL (craigslist) I LOVE CL. I buy the coolest used stuff and sell things as well. Its called an Ergo, another baby carrier. I think I need to stop buying baby carriers!
I have not purchased this, although I love it. It's super expensive. I stalk it every week to see if it goes on sale though. Maybe some day
Wednesday Is the day!
This Wednesday 3:45pm hopefully we will find out if its a boy/girl. According to the poll, boys seems to be in the lead, but not by much. My Chinese gender chart says Girl, who knows if those things are ever right!
We had a great/busy weekend. I started a new project in the babies room. I removed the cabinet doors and I primed them to paint them white. I can't wait to pick out the hardware, hopefully something cute from Anthroplogie. I attended an engagement party for a good friend. It was really fun, and I can't wait for the wedding! Sunday I drove to Sonoma to spend some time with just my mom. We haven't had mom/daughter time alone in forever.
Today I signed up for pre-natal fitness. For some reason I picture pregnant ladies marching around in spandex lifting soup cans as weights. Hopefully it won't be like that! But it does say to bring 1-3lbs weights.... the least I have ever used was 5lbs, I'm not quite sure what 1-3lbs can do for me, so I think I'm going to be a rebel and bring my 5lb weights.

17 weeks today, 9 more days till the big reveal!!
9 more days till we find out the sex!! I'm really excited and counting down.
We had a very productive weekend. Andrew finished the stairs, those stairs.... ugh they have been unfinished since mid may (see previous post about installing hardwood floors). He did a really great job with them, they look amazing he worked his butt off. All we have left, we meaning Andrew is to finish a little bit of trim around the fireplace.
We also started the upstairs spare bedroom this weekend. Striped and re-stained the window seat. We have a ton of projects and organizing to do before the baby comes. Our goal is to try and finish as much as possible before the holidays hit.
I cooked a couple yummy meals this weekend. My parents grow a lot of veggies and they dropped off fresh cucumbers, and corn. Since it was hot, we had Lot's of salads and a little protein on the grill.
Cucumber Salad: Sliced cucumbers with rice vinegar, salt and pepper. Marinated in the fridge for about 45 minutes so they remain crispy.
Tomato Salad: Fresh tomatoes (either garden or farmers market), marinated for as long as you can with oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, mustard (powder or dijon). Family favorite, its like dessert in our house!
Green salad: Butter lettuce, apples, green onion. Salad dressing: Oil/Rice vinegar
We purchased this bassinet on craigslist for the baby. Well our current baby Zoe, has been itching to get in the top portion since we brought it home. Last night we caught her sleeping in the bottom of it.

16 week update
I'm in my 16th week of pregnancy. The baby is supposed to double in size during the next two weeks, and I can really tell the difference. My appetite has grown, and I seem to always be hungry. My favorite foods this week: enchiladas, and chocolate frozen yogurt with gummy bears. Yum!!
I haven't felt the baby move yet, it's really bumming me out, but I just need to be patient. Everyone feels the baby at different times. Some of the books say it could feel like hunger pains, if so I have those ALL the time!
I purchased 4 books about pregnancy from amazon: Mayo Clinic pregnancy guide, Dr.Sears Vaccine book, Dr Sears the first years baby book, and the Nursing Mothers Companion. So far so good, I really like the Dr. Sears Vaccine book so far.

Finally a post about food!
Sunday I cooked a pot roast for Andrew, and of course myself since I had a craving. I busted out the fine china and we enjoyed mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, salad and pot roast! So freaking good and easy.
