Project: Canvas + Salt + Glue + Water Color

I set up a project for the boys that I had seen on Pinterest awhile back. I set out 2 canvases on our art table, a set of water colors and a few brushes. Logan immediately went to town painting on the canvas. From what I read about the project it was really important to have a lot of paint on the canvas, so I encouraged him to paint and paint!

When he was done painting we got out the glue. When the glue hit the water colors on the canvas, it made the paint spread and turn the areas of the canvas almost back to white. Very cool affect. Next he sprinkled salt on the paint/glue.
After the glue and salt hit the canvas, they were ready to dry! Once my younger son Dylan saw the finished product he wanted in on the action as well. He was very interested in squeezing the glue bottle and seeing what shapes it made on the paint.
