The second week of my photography class was big, I had three assignments due. The week ahead was really busy with family coming to stay with us, plus Logans bday party to prep and plan for! It was a crazy week. I ended up re-shooting all my photos for week 2 during week 3 because I just didn't quiet get it. And to be quite honest i'm still not quite 100% on the lessons but I keep trying and re-reading the PDF's getting my camera out and working. I'm starting to realize there is far more to taking a photo then knowing the settings on the camera :-)
Week two photos:
Mini metering assignment, week one we metered to 0 and this week we started to use a grey card to see what grey our camera sees at 0:
The first set is an 18% grey card, second group is 12.5%. 12.5% is the one for my camera!
Lesson 2: White Balance: using my grey card a few props in my bathroom, I set up my shot to see what my photos looked like in AWB (auto white balance, Custom, and Tungsten.

Third assignment i'm still trying to figure out a little. I don't really get the BBF, mostly because I can't figure out how to change it on my camera! But I did do a little work metering with my grey card and trying to see what the kiddos look best at. Dylan was impossible, I did get Logan:
