Disney Experience

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Disneyland! We left after Thanksgiving dinner and drove straight to our hotel. The boys went to sleep at the hotel pretty easily and we woke up the next morning ready to tackle our first day!!

Day One: The first day was fun, it was just the four of us. And we walked around a lot to look at things, met characters, and try to avoid the crowds. Logan loved riding the tea cups in Fantasy Land and Goofy Roller coaster in Toon Town. Next we headed to California Adventures to hide from the mass of crowds!! We lunched at the yummy Mexican restaurant and rode a few rides in Bugs land. Dylan and Andrew went back to the hotel for naps, and Logan and I rode a few rides, and Logan took a short nap in the stroller while I watched the parade. We had a reservation at Ariel's Grotto, its a nice sit down restaurant in California Adventures. The dinner came with preferred seating to World of Color. Dinner was really good, and the desserts were awesome. Logan and Andrew had fun trying the different desserts. We had some time to kill before World of Color started, so we rode more rides, and bought many bribes to keep the kids happy :-) World of color was amazing to watch. In true Disney fashion, it was beautifully done. They projected images of different Disney movies above the water. Water shot up in different colors all around. By the time we made it back to the hotel and put jams on, lights off, it was 9:30! Very late for our boys. Logan was a champ and did fine, Dylan was a mess and did not adapt well to the change in schedule.

Day Two: Dylan was up early and woke the rest of us up. We decided to use our magic morning pass and get into the park before it opens. The park opened at 8am, and we were there by 7:30am. With the crowds being so big, we wanted to get in early and hit up the popular rides. We did Peter Pans Flight (My absolute favorite), Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Its a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, and of course the Tea Cups a couple of times. We met up with our friends Megan/Carson and my sister and brother in law. We had a fun day exploring Disneyland with everyone. With more adults in the mix, Andrew and I got a chance to go on a few roller coasters, space mtn for me and California Screaming for him.

When it was dark at Disneyland we were able to see all the beautiful Christmas lights. The park looked beautiful!  That night we stayed for the fireworks. Disney does such a spectacular job with fireworks, they are so magical. At the finale of the fireworks, they make it “snow”. Its pretty cool, and another magical moment. We had another late night, into bed and lights out at 9:30pm. Dylan wasn’t happy but he made it through another fun filled day.

Day Three: Dylan was up early again….. I took him to eat and tried to let the other boys sleep in. We were all still at the park by 8:30am. We rode a few more popular rides, Finding Nemo submarine ride, and Autotopia. We had reservations at Goofy’s kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel for a character brunch. We headed over on the monorail. The character breakfast was really fun! The food was great, and Logan loves to meet the characters. We took lots of fun pictures. We met up with my sister and brother in law back at Disneyland. We rode a few rides for the second time, and grabbed a spot for the parade. We finished up the day around 8pm, I think we were all DONE with Disneyland! We got on the rode home at about 9pm, and returned to our home at 3:30am. It was a really fun and exhausting trip for us all!

The trip was really fun and Logan had a great time. Andrew and I are really glad we did it, but we both agree we won’t go again till Dylan can ride most of the rides.

Check out the mustache on Andrew! He’s been growing one for the month of November, its called Movember. To raise money for Prostate cancer, apparently everyone at work was doing it……
