Our Canada Trip

Our Canada trip was pretty amazing. The plane ride to get there, not so much, we were THOSE people on the plane with the screaming uncontrollable toddler! It was well worth the awful plane rides to get to spend such a fun week with Andrew’s family.

 

A few of the highlights for me:

- Watching all the family members with Logan. We were so lucky that June, Dave and Sara took the whole week off of work!

- Logan loving his grandparents, and Aunt with tons of hugs and kisses everyday

- Logan getting to meet his Great Grandmother Lorraine

-  Watching Logan play with a bunch of toys Andrew’s mom saved! She had a Teddy Ruxpin doll that still talked. That thing was SO creepy, but hey Logan thought Teddy was really cool!

- Going to see Jersey boys in Toronto with June and Sara, what a great show!

- The relaxing time Andrew and I had. Andrew’s mom is incredible. She cooked and cleaned practically every meal for us. Did our laundry, hung around the house during Logan’s naps so Andrew and I could steal some time away. It was HEAVEN!

Easing into my new “role”

It’s been an official week since my last day of work and my new role as a stay at home mom.

There have been ups:

And downs:

And lots and lots of in between.

Twice a week I work at the day care for the Daily Method in the area to trade for free classes. Its really a win win and has been so nice this last week. Most days are filled with errands or an activity in the morning, home for lunch, afternoon nap (for both of us), afternoon activity, dinner, bath and bed time. Overall its been really fun to have FUN with Logan. By the time I put him to bed, I'm exhausted!

I will say by the time Andrew gets home I have to talk to him for at least 5min without catching a breath or letting him get a word in edgewise. I need that 1-1 adult time.

Play dates anyone??? Call me :-)

This baby LOVES watermelon

Wait what baby am I talking about? Logan is a toddler now not a baby….

That's right folks, I'm pregnant again. Logan’s baby brother or sister is due November 18. I know your trying to do the math, so I will do it for you. They will be 21 months apart people, yes it was planned.

In many ways this feels JUST like my pregnancy with Logan. I have been quite sick but not as sick as with Logan. Thankful for that because chasing around a toddler and multiple trips to the bathroom just don’t go together. The one thing that is quite different is my need for watermelon. I could eat it all day and all night. Its SO good!!! I think this baby will grow very well with my strict watermelon diet. Yum!
